Dear Mummy, I Miss You...

Bella Magazine - 9th March 2010

Grief Encounter is featured in today's Bella magazine (dated 16th March 2010) in a beautifully touching article entitled Dear Mummy, I Miss You... Read a brief excerpt from the four-page spread below:

"For some children Mother's Day this year won't be giving their mum a handmade card or breakfast in bed. Instead it will be a day of sadness and fond memories. Each year in Britain some 16,000 children under 16 are forced to cope when their mother passes away. Shelley Gilbert, director of the child bereavement charity Grief Encounter, says: 'Losing your mum is always hard but if she dies when you're a child and still in need of her hugs and kisses, praise and advice, it's tough beyond words.' Bella asked four sets of children who have lost their mums to share their memories, their hopes, and what they would like to tell Mummy if she were still here this Sunday."
